Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) — job-search visa — Germany

A one-year visa to come to Germany and look for a job, with points for qualifications, language, experience and age. You can work part-time while searching.

What you need

• A qualification recognised in Nepal and checked for Germany (anabin/ZAB or recognition notice)
• At least 6 points (unless fully recognised as a skilled worker)
• German A1 or English B2 at minimum
• Money: €1,091 per month (2026) in a blocked account, or a declaration of commitment

• Get recognition of your qualification.
• Take a language test.
• Open a blocked account.
• Apply at the German Embassy Kathmandu.
