How to move to Poland from Nepal
Work permits for factories, warehouses, delivery and farms, plus seasonal permits of up to 9 months.
Why Nepalis go: Large economy with labour shortages; minimum wage about PLN 4,806 gross a month in 2026.
The catch: Visa appointments for Nepalis are handled outside Nepal and can be slow, and Poland tightened visa checks after a 2023 visa scandal.
Most common route: Employer gets a Type A work permit → national D visa → temporary residence card.
Work permit (Type A) + national visa
Your Polish employer gets a work permit from the local governor's office; you then apply for a work visa.
- Who it's for: Workers with a job offer from a Polish employer.
- Cost: Visa about €80; agencies may charge more — ask for receipts.
- Time: Several months.
- Stay: Up to 3 years.
- Family: Possible after obtaining a residence card.
- Leads to permanent residence: Long-term EU residence after 5 years.
Scams to avoid
- Seasonal permits are for farm work only and end after 9 months — they are not a path to 'settle in Europe'.
